Rebecca Davis Public Relations provides publicity, media and marketing services to musicians, arts organizations and record labels, specializing in classical, jazz and other niche genres. The RDPR team brings a respected and enthusiastic voice, in-depth musical knowledge and broad promotional expertise to help artists achieve meaningful and impactful visibility in mainstream and specialist press. We have cultivated a network of significant relationships with members of the media in print, on air and online that we reach through targeted pitching and creative storytelling. Our holistic approach to a client’s communications strategy involves refining and amplifying messaging to effectively reach audiences across all channels from websites and press materials to social media.

Rebecca Davis

Rebecca brings more than two decades of experience working with musicians, arts organizations and the world’s leading major and independent record labels to achieve a broad array of publicity and communications goals. She has implemented successful media campaigns for A-list pianists, violinists, singers, composers and vocal and instrumental ensembles of all sizes. Before launching RDPR in 2008, Rebecca worked as Director of Publicity for the Decca, Deutsche Grammophon, Philips and Mercury labels at Universal Classics in New York and prior to that was Publicity Manager for the independent classical music label and distributor Naxos of America in Tennessee. She has implemented successful media campaigns for artists including Renée Fleming, Jonas Kaufmann, Juan Diego Florez, Danielle de Niese, Elīna Garanča, Bryn Terfel, Rolando Villazón, Janine Jansen, Anne Akiko Meyers, Lang Lang, Yuja Wang, Eric Whitacre and Osvaldo Golijov. Rebecca was led to a career in classical music publicity through her experience as a classically trained soprano and currently performs with the St. Petersburg Opera in Florida.

Susan Hellman Spatafora

Susan Hellman Spatafora is a seasoned arts administrator who also enjoys a thriving career as an operatic soprano. Prior to coming to Rebecca Davis Public Relations, Susie was Associate Director of Development for the St. Petersburg Opera. Susie has a strong background in non-profit work and grants administration, having previously worked in New York City for Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, GHS Philanthropy Management and The Paul Klebnikov Fund. She is also co-founder of IlluminArts – an art song and vocal chamber music series based in Miami, FL. As a prize-winning full lyric soprano, Susie has performed with opera companies throughout the country. She sang the title role of Carlisle Floyd’s Susannah in a St. Petersburg Opera production released as a Naxos DVD in 2017. Of her performance, Joshua Rosenblum of Opera News declared that Susie, “has the perfect yearningly optimistic coloring—golden and radiant.” Susie brings her knowledge and experience as an administrator and performer to bear in her work with RDPR clients including Athlone Artists and the Saratoga Performing Arts Center.
